Privacy
Last updated July 2026. Indicative only — not legal or tax advice.
The short version
daycount holds the days you record and the rules you set — nothing more. There are no ads, no trackers and no analytics. Your data is never sold and never shared. You can export all of it, or delete all of it, at any time.
What we store
- Your day records — the country (or countries) you were present in on each date, and any optional travel times you add.
- Your rules and settings — the residency, visa and travel rules you configure, and preferences such as your work week.
- Your email address — used only to secure your account and to send the occasional account email. No marketing.
Where it lives
Your data is stored in a managed Postgres database hosted by Supabase in the European Union region. Access is scoped to your account by row-level security — one account cannot read another's data.
What we don't do
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
- No third-party trackers or analytics scripts.
- No location tracking — there is no GPS and nothing runs in the background. You enter your days, or import them from a file.
- We never sell your data, and we never share it except as strictly needed to run the service (for example, our database host) or where the law requires.
Your data is yours
Export the complete record to JSON or CSV whenever you like — export is never behind a paywall. To remove everything, use Delete account inside the app: it permanently deletes all of your day records, rules and settings, along with the account itself.
Payments
If you subscribe to Pro, payment is handled by our payments provider, Polar, acting as merchant of record. We do not see or store your card details. See the Terms for more.
