Terms

Last updated July 2026. Indicative only — not legal or tax advice.

Indicative only

daycount helps you count and document your days. Its counts and residency indications are indicative only — not legal or tax advice, and they may be incomplete where your history has gaps. You are responsible for your own filings and decisions; for anything that matters, confirm with a qualified tax or legal professional. daycount is a tool, not an adviser.

Your account and your data

You are responsible for the accuracy of the days and rules you enter, and for keeping your own backups (export to JSON or CSV any time — it is free and never paywalled). You may delete your account and all of its data at any time from inside the app.

Subscriptions and payment

The free tier is free. Pro is an optional paid subscription. Payments are processed by Polar, acting as our merchant of record: Polar handles the payment and any applicable EU VAT, and its terms apply to the transaction itself. We do not see or store your card details.

You can cancel anytime. Cancelling stops future charges and, at the end of the paid period, disables any rules beyond the single free one — but it never deletes your data. Everything stays readable and exportable.

No warranty

daycount is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any count is correct for your particular circumstances. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal.
